waste vegetable or cooking oil collection drum for any chef who owns a fish and chip shop or restaurant

Officialdom Strikes!

Official dictats don't you just love them! Waste Transfer Notices (WTN's) The Environment Agency's collection and re-cycling of waste cooking oil is only for collections which are intended for re-selling or processing for commercial use. For the personal production of biodiesel which is intended for non-commercial use, as in my case, does not require a Waste Carriers License. BUT if your business requires them then I'll supply them.

Waste Vegetable Oil (Cooking Oil) Collection Service for Chefs in Kent

The whole object of this website is to explain the reasons and purpose of my waste vegetable/cooking oil collection service and how it can possibly be an avantage to you (and lets face it an avantage to me too!). Plus for those who are interested about the benefits to the enviroment and a bit about the making of the end product. Biodiesel that is! To run cars on that is! So if your interested have a look at this page that tells you more about Biodiesel.

Biodiesel produces zero carbon footprint or carbon-neutral

SO, QUESTION:
If you run a fish and chip shop, or you are a chef in a restaurant or any establishment that you’d consider finding an alternative means of disposing of your used Waste Vegetable Oil (or WVO) which enables you to benefit financially, at the same time helping the environment and re-cycling to boot! So if you buy your new fresh vegetable cooking oil from a supplier (tied in with the requisite contract no doubt) Who then takes away the used oil without paying you anything! Then a) He either makes biofuel out of it himself and sells it or b) Sells it on to someone who does or possibly takes it abroad to sell it. If the answer is a 'yes' then read on!

THE SOLUTION:
So if you're in Kent or Maidstone even, you can buy your supply of new vegetable/cooking oil from a cash and carry (or whereever). Then, when you've finished with it, I came along and collect it. Then I pay you for it! Plus you are re-cycling and all accomplished with as little disturbance and inconvenience to yourself as possible. Its just about as simple as that! Good eh!

I will provide you, if required, a 30 litre drum (or bigger if needed). I will pay you a price for your oil per litre that is agreeable to to you and to me. Then when the drum is full you can phone, text or e-mail me and I will came along and collect it.

I then take it home and process the oil into biodiesel through the process of transferification.

Please note here:
THIS OIL IS USED FOR MY OWN PERSONNEL USE ONLY. I'm going all offical here but as a note I am allowed 2500 litres a year before you are liable for any tax payments. I only have one car which I use for my work but I'm nowhere near that limit.

Perhapse with recycling and carbon-neutral atmosphere this is what a clean enviroment would look like
